The explosive growth of sports marketing in recent years has created challenges for those who speak only one language. How does an English-speaking organization make an impact in France? And how do French companies make an impact in the English-speaking world?
AS Communications has been created to meet this need.
Established by Amy Saward, an American who has lived and worked in France and Switzerland for more than 20 years, AS Communications has experience and contacts in the sporting world, notably in the cosmopolitan world of motorsport, and can assist you in organising promotions, events, press conferences and media campaigns.
Amy began her sporting career in the mid 1980s, handling the Ligier F1 team’s relationship with the international media, its VIP guests, its non-French-speaking sponsors and with other teams. She also prepared and distributed the team’s press releases and accompanied press and guests to race tracks and events.
At the same time she handled all the media and TV work for the La Filière Elf/Gitanes Blondes scheme, which promotedFrance's future racing stars of the era in Formula 3 and Formula Renault. In this role she worked with F1 winner Olivier Panis and Le Mans 24 Hours winner Emmanuel Collard.
She later joined the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile in Geneva and then in Paris where she worked in the External Relations Department. This put her in daily contact with the international motorsport and automotive media, with race organisers, automobile companies and racing teams. She also organised and coordinated international delegates to the FIA World Motor Sport Council and its commissions.
She moved on the Fédération Française du Sport Automobile as Press Officer for the French Grand Prix and the Rallye de France - Tour de Corse. In this role she dealt with national and international media and marketing companies, created the federation’s press releases, media kits, websites, speeches and videos. She was in charge of international promotions and competitions and organising F1 and World Rally Championship press conferences and on-site events. This involved liaison with FIA, FOM, Allsport Management, F1 and WRC teams, the organisationof operation of media centres and media accreditation. She has also been involved in the organisation of the FIA Institute Summit, working with sporting and general media to promote the event at international level. |
